Astroboxconnect: Network is unreachable

I am trying to set up an Astrobox for the 3D printers at our local Makerspace. I was following the Adafruit tutorial on installing Astroprint.

I was able to burn the iso image to the card but when I installed in my Raspberry Pi B, I did not see a Astrobox WiFi network. I connected the Raspberry Pi to a monitor and keyboard to monitor what was going on. It ran through the boot sequence but it stopped at

“Starting astrobox: astroboxconnect: Network is unreachable”

then exits to the command prompt. I thought I might have a problem with the initial iso transfer so I burned it again. This time I watched the whole startup. It gets to “Starting astrobox” but runs through that and a few more command lines, then the Pi reboots. It runs through a second time and gets hung up on the same error message above. I restart the Pi and it gets hung up at the same point.

I don’t know what the brand or model of the WiFi adapter I have (it was donated), but I have used it in the Pi to connect to the internet. I’ve tried using the adapter with a powered USB hub, thinking it might be a power issue. But no luck.

Any ideas on why the system isn’t working?

It’s probably the wifi adapter. We can only support one at the moment. It’s the one here:

Thanks for the input. Just placed an order for one.

Hi

I have another wifi adapter which I was using with octoprint.
Initially it has the same issues as with astrobox.
then I manually installed drivers using command line.
I think this can also be done on astrobox, but I am not able to open command line or gui.
My wifi adapter is same 8188 realtech based.
