Astroprint damaged Lulzbot mini printer bed!

Hi,

Finally got Astroprint working. I love it! but I have a couple problems…

I’ve owned the printer for almost a year and have never had a single issue until now.

First, almost every print so far the filament doesn’t start flowing until after the first layer.

The other day, I sent a print and during the bed levelling my printer started making noises I’ve never heard. It seemed like the print head was pushing very hard on the bed.

After the print my printer bed had some pretty serious damage.

Today, I wanted to print but once again it did the extremely aggressive levelling and I immediately cancelled.

I really like Astroprint but I’m kind of terrified to use it :frowning:

Weird. This is likely due to wrong START/END G-CODE’s. Did you change them in anyway?

This is the first case of this I have heard/seen.

Perhaps look at the START/END G CODES from the LULZBOT CURA edition to find out the start/end g codes?

  • Click Expert
  • switch to full settings
  • click the Start/End GCode tab

Let us know if any of that helped…

Thanks for the reply.

No, I didn’t change the code, in fact I have no idea how to.

Looking at the GCode but have no clue what to do with it. What’s the next step?

Thanks!

I had to reinstall from scratch last night.

I think that everything works fine as long as I don’t use the manual controls to adjust the print head or bed.

I printed 3 jobs and nothing crazy happened.

I might try to test my theory next time I print.

Thanks for the update! :slightly_smiling:

If you are trying any theories out, try not to break anymore printer beds though.
