Is it possible to set up Astroprint’s existing timelapse capture to take it’s snapshots with the print head out of the way in maybe a parking position similar to what I believe Octoprint can do? As it stands, you see the print head jumping from one point to another and usually obscuring a clear view of the item printing on the bed. I just think it would be great to view a timelapse and see the print build up but the print head appear motionless in an out of the way location.

Yes, that would be a cool feature to add in the Timelapse funcionality that Astroprint has.
Right now we do not have it, but I am forwarding your request to the team to see if the can add it in the feature.
