Is it possible or would it be possible to have a view from the camera available all the time to the web front end, and not just whilst printing? That way you can look at finished objects away from the printer and check to see if the print platform is cleared of previous objects before commencing a print.
Its a bit of a pain that the camera feed disappears as soon as the job is printed.
Octoprint does it

you can also go to http://localipofastroprintbox/camera/snapshot and get what the camera currently sees I was looking running a python script on another box to grab the images and then combine them together into a video which is working not if only I could find the full res of the camera (mine is 720p and only getting 640x480 images) and figure out how to get the layer and percent info.
