Cannot connect via wifi ( Not Hotspot )

Hi everyone,

I´ve already connected with the raspi via hotspot and I´ve been able to connect it to my wifi connection.
When I try to get access to astroprint-xxxx.local via wifi with my browser, the direction in unreachable, I don´t know why.
The connection is WPA2 at 2,4 Ghz.

Any idea?

Thanks very much.

@Alejandro_Carnicero:

Presuming you already followed this guide to setup your Raspberry Pi 3…

First of all, this is WRONG:

It’s http://astrobox-XXXX.local NOT a̶s̶t̶r̶o̶p̶r̶i̶n̶t̶-XXXX.local

Go ahead and try that while connected to the SAME WIFI NETWORK.

Alternatively, you can also try going to http://10.10.0.1

Let me know if that works :wink:

The 10.10.0.1 address will only work if you are connected to the astrobox hotspot. In any other cases you need to use the IP that your network assigned the box.

.local addresses are only supported natively on MacOS and Linux. if you have a Windows machine, you need to install this: https://astroprint.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/208111256-How-to-make-local-address-work-on-Windows

I am trying to get this to work on my computer. I have my astrobox running and connected to my wifi network, but I cannot connect to the “XXX.local” address that I set up. My computer is not on wifi, it is plugged in to Ethernet, but it is all connected to the same router. I installed the apple thing that is linked to here, but it still is not working. I can get to the astro-box control panel by finding it in my “network devices” just not by going to the local address that I set up. I am able to get to the local address on my phone wifi. Any hel would be appreciated. Thank you.
