In Cura and Silc3r software, users can both set the origin of coordinates of bed, define the center of the bed as 0,0 instead of the front left corner. But I didn’t find similar settings in the Astroprint’s cloud slicers, so all the coordinates in the gcode files generated by cloud slicers are positive. When will you provide a similar setting?
Our slicer defines that internally. Could you let us know the reason you would like to manually change that to better understand your requirement?
Hi Daniel, I’m Zhanying. The main reason we want to manually set the parameter is that all our MBot 3D Printer were defines the center of platform as 0,0. If our customers want to use Astrobox, they have to chang the homeoffsets in the firmware, and the start/end gcode. It’s too much trouble for users to do that. So, I think it will bring us lots of convenience if Astroprint have this setting.
Does your printer use SailFish? If so, we already set the 0,0 in the center for all Sailfish based machines
Yes, our firmware is Sailfish 7.7.
Hi Daniel, I will try again later.
