Create and Save your own slice profiles?

Hi there,
I’m using an astrobox on a Raspberry Pi B+, and I really like everything except the slicing.

I have a Printrbot Simple Metal with the upgraded Ubis hotend, and have to manually change the retraction from 4mm to 0.3mm each time I print or I risk ruining the hotend.

I’m used to repetier host where I can change every setting comfortably, then save it as a profile that appears in a dropdown menu before slicing.

Astroprint has potential for simplifying the workflow of those using their printer above and beyond the hobby level. Unfortunately, having preset “DRAFT, GOOD, BEST” settings just seems very backwards for something as complex as printing. I think the presets are only great if they are customizable. (that’s why they work well as presets in the first place)

Are there any plans to fix this for your beautiful setup soon?

I would love this feature as well. I’m currently resorting to slicing outside of AStroprint and uploading the gcode or x3g.

Yes, we hear you loud and clear. The presets are extremely useful for our less advanced users but some of you want to tweak settings and use their tweaks all the time. This is coming, there are just other things in front.

Thanks for your patience. We’ll get there.

This would be extremely helpful .
