I’ve got a Wanhao Duplicator i3/Monoprice Maker Select v2, and as of a few days ago I’m noticing that when I adjust the heatbed power on the printer it will sometimes shut off. This appears to be a known issue with the Melzi board they use, though until I can fix it or replace the control board I think I’ll just be careful about my use of the heated bed. I mention this because my printer just got through a 35 hour print, and while I’ve got AstroPrint set to email me on a successful print I didn’t receive one upon completion of this print. Looking in the print history, it lists the print status as “Print Started” in yellow, which to me indicates the print was prematurely interrupted.
Would it be possible to have AstroPrint send a notification email when the AstroBox doesn’t hear from the printer for a certain period of time during a print? I feel like knowing whether or not a print failed due to an electrical fault would be a very useful thing to know.
