I hesitate to call this ‘trouble’ but I have seen it before in astrobox but sometimes it just goes away.
But lately when I extrude manually say to prime the nozzle the fan is off when I click extrude but when the extruder starts the fan comes on…It turns off again when the extrude is complete…Not sure why this happens and it isn’t really a big deal but thought I would mention it.
Nothing has changed here for a long time. I would activate and take a look at the serial log to see if the box is sending any fan commands along with the extrude commands.
It could also be a firmware issue. Some firmware will automatically activate the fan under some conditions.
Yeah…I would bet on the firmware…but that also has not changed…and yesterday it was back to no fan…I think as you say under some conditions the firmware just turns the fan on…I just don’t know what those conditions might be…It does seem to happen more with PLA than other materials where typically I don’t use the fan…so maybe if job that is canceled with the fan on, something stays set and then the next manual extrude the fan just comes back on…so other similar glitch.
