Heating Dual Extruder Issues

Hi Folks! Wondering if anyone is having issues managing the heat on their dual extruders.

Select nozzle dropdown doesn’t let me set my left extruders temperature. I can only get the Right extruder to heat. Has anyone tried this?

Question for the dev team: Does switching the profile in the nozzle dropdown menu suppose to update the values in the colorful extruder temperature picker?

Using a flashforge creator pro with sailfish firmware and slicing with Simplify 3D.

Thanks,

-Noe

i would like to see an answer to this also! i am using a Duplicator 4X and i use left nozzle for PLA and Right for ABS, so it would be nice to be able to see the temperatures of both nozzles.

Updated to the latest 0.8(1). testing out dual extrusion stuff seems to print ok with gcode files that preheat the nozzles before printing but still cant manage the two nozzles outside of printing.

Hey @Noe_Ruiz
Is there a way to get the dual extrusion to display on the current, downloadable release? I am running the PowerSpec Pro 3D printer, and only see information on the Right nozzle. This is preventing me from using the STL capabilities from the system.

Thanks!
Brad

I can’t believe this is still an issue. Getting OctoPrint to work with the GPX plugin seems like less of a headache then waiting for Astroprint to implement basic features for Sailfish users and Dual Extruders. Not trying to be a jerk but Astroprint is so far behind Octoprint as far as functionality seems like all time and effort went into the responsive UI.

@Mike I understand that this is frustrating. We’re a small team with lots of users that have different priorities and needs. At the moment we’re focusing on other things but this is very much in our plans to fix. Thanks for your patience and by all means use Octoprint if that fits your needs right now but do keep an eye on us. There are a lot of cool things coming

@Daniel This is kinda a big deal. I am all for cool things, but what about functional things? Seeing as a large number of dual printers are on the market this seems to be a LARGE oversight. Any update on when to expect this function to come through?

Checking back in on this effort. The latest version still lacks this support, unless I missed something. The monitor screen is stuck on “heating” and it will not give % or layers. A simple next screen button would at least let us see the print status. If there is anything I can do to support this resolution please let me know.
