Is there a how to? see me cnc

Hello

Got this kit from my girl for my birthday.

Set it up, uploaded a stl, and sliced it (although i would love to use local, cant seem to get it to work. the “local” button
does nothing)

printer is connected, although as unknown. I have control over the printer. i can get it to pre heat. i can actually get it to print. HOWEVER. it shoots the nozzle to the edge of my printer bed, THEN, proceeds to scrape along my printer surface.

I have set the endpoints.

What am i missing. why can’t i pick my printer profile? it says rostock vers 2 on the model info before hitting print. but, i am afriad to try it again it might smash my printing surface.

really frustrated that i can’t seem to find any documentation step by step, or even a guide to make sure my settings are correct for my printer.

Please help.

k

The issue of the nozzle shooting to the edge of the printer sounds like a start gcode command issue.

On Astroprint.com on the main dashboard go into printer profiles (red icon) here will be a list of your printers if you click on the pencil icon on the right side it will take you to a screen where you can edit your printer profile. If you click on the advanced settings link towards the bottom it will show your start and end commands. There should already be settings in there that have been input by seemecnc for that printer but it is possible you may need to edit them.

The “unknown” part is just a default name given for the port. So nothing to worry about there.
