Lost connection during print

What can I do when I lost connection during a print?
Can I just reboot the astrobox without interfering with my printjob?

Maybe that’s a good use for one of your 3 buttons, reconnect the device with the internet :wink:

We have seen that under certain conditions, the connection between the the box and our servers is lost without the box ever knowing that it happened. This is why no reconnection attempt is made.

We have a fix in mind and will be released with the next version of the AstroBox software. The box should automatically reconnect, upon connection lost at that point.

Keep in mind that rebooting the box during a print job will stop the print and it’s not recommended.

In some other topic I already found an answer that rebooting was not recommended so I’m just letting it print till it’s done.

Can’t confirm that this was or could be a reason it lost connection but I was opening the interface on a couple of different devices. PC, iPad, nexus. Once I tried connecting with my nexus the connection was lost.

No, it’s not normal that opening the UI from different devices would cause this.

We have noticed that a change in IP address due to DHCP policies, could make the server loose the link and the box not realize that the link has been lost.
