No Internet Connection

For some strange reason tonight none of my Astroprint boxes (x3) will connect to the Internet and therefore my Astroprint account. They are all connected fine on the network, have the usual assigned IP addresses, can be controlled from the control screen, I can view the cameras but all 3 of them say no Internet connection. The WiFi icon in the top right corner is grey with a small red dot. As far as I am aware nothing has changed and 2 of the 3 are connected via ethernet. This is driving me insane.

Anyone got any ideas why all 3 should fail to connect around the same time. My internet connection is just fine by the way and nothing, to my knowledge, has changed on my network. All other devices like PCs, tablets, phones, Sky boxes ate al;l connecting just fine.

2 of my 3 Pi boxes are V2 so connected via ethernet. The third is Pi3 so I just connected it via WiFi and that one connects just fine. However, the 2 ethernet connected boxes still will not connect to the Internet, or so the rocket icon in top right corner says, yet I can control the printers via the Pi, logout and log back in to my Astrobox account via the individual Pi control screens and can also check for updates on each of those boxes and they inform me they are running the latest. So clearly they are connected to my network and looks like the Internet but they report they are not and I am therefore unable to connect to them via my Astroprint account so no printing :frowning:

Ideas please? I’m fresh out.

Send us logs in the failing boxes so we can see. It looks like some condition is tricking our software into thinking that the box is offline. This has happened before when Ethernet is used but the problem was corrected. It might have reappeared.

It had to do with the raspbian network manager classifying the Ethernet as manually configured even though it was using DCHP.

Log sent from one of the boxes saying no Ethernet connection. If you get the log I guess the box is definitely fibbing :grinning::+1:t3:

Might it fix itself if I do a format and fresh restore of Astroprint? I’ve just realised the 2 troublesome machines have not been used since I updated to 0.9(2) earlier this week

I’ve just reflashed v0.9(2) to a new card and it’s working fine. Very odd. I’ll now do the same with the other one.
