pcDuino3B wifi connectivity issue

Hi Everybody,

I recently purchased a pcDuino3B and managed to set it up as a AstroBox.
I can connect to the AstroBox locally via 10.10.0.1 and set up the wifi ( I get confirmation that I’m connected ) and then log to my account including connection to the printer.
Everything seems fine till then.
When looking at the main page, I can see in the top right corner that the wifi has no signal (wifi symbol with a red x or red AstroRocked) even thought I can log on to my account and have confirmation that the wifi is connected on the settings page. There is however no way to see my AstroBox online.
If connect to a network cable now to the pcDuino and reset it to factory settings via the advanced settings page, everything suddenly works fine. Now I can print from my iPad and the wifi signals becomes a green AstoRocked.
As soon as I disconnect the network cable from the pcDuino nothing works again.
The wifi the AstroBox can connect to the internet so that is not the issue.
Does anybody know how I could fix this issue.

It’s possible that this is an error. Could you do two things:

  1. Using the ethernet cable, update your software to 0.8(4)
  2. Connect using the wifi and send us logs.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I had already managed to upgrade to version 0.8(4) via the wifi.
I could even send the log file over the wifi. (I called it pcDuino3B wifi connectivity issue) hope you can find it.
I still see the red AstroRocked in the top right corner.
Everything else seems to work fine so far apart of connecting to my AstroPrint account over the wifi.
I hope the log file helps to find the issue.
Thanks in advance for the help. D.

Please try again. Is it working now?

Hi Daniel,

I have tried everything possible now and its still not working.
I have re-upladed the kernel and the AstroBox software.
I have downloaded the update version 0.8(4) over wifi and ethernet.
I have restored to factory setting with the ethernet cable plugged in. (this used to work now it does not anymore)

There is no way to get connection to Astroprint ( the rocket stays red )
Very frustrating !
I have send another log hope this helps to trace the fault down.

Every thing else works, I can even update over wifi, but just not connect to Astroprint.

Do you have any idea what it could be?

Hi Daniel,

I did install the Astrobox file on to a new raspberry pi I just purchased and I still get the same problem.
I have a red rocket in the right top corner. (no communication with the Astroprint server)
Can you please let me know why it does this and what I can do to fix it.

@dssp:

While Daniel proposes a better answer…

I must ask: Did you create an account at AstroPrint.com and provide those credentials and authenticate on your AstroBox? Was that a success? If so, have you tried clicking on that red rocket to re-attempt a connection?
