Pi B+ - Pi Camera or USB Cam?

I have a Pi 2 (1 gb ram) and I bought a Logitech cam to use with it. All good so far. When I got that Pi, I also picked up a Pi Cam. But before anyone got it working, I bought the usb cam. Now, another printer comes along so I grab another Pi - I accidentally bought a B+ (512 mb ram) instead of another 2. So now I have a Pi 2, a B+, a Pi camera and a USB camera.

So the question is, which camera should I use with the B+ and which one with the Pi 2? I’m sure one takes up more power/resources than the other. Since I’m a Pi beginner, I thought I would ask you more experienced Pi guys.

If i where you I’d use the usb cam and motion on the Pi 2 and build a time laps/surveillance camera with the pi b+ and motion.

The astro webcam suport is not that “nice” it’s only images.

That looks pretty cool! I’m no unix pro, but I’ll definitely give it a shot. Unless Daniel tells us they are really close to getting camera streaming…

Nether am I but it’s super simple setup

apt-get install motion
nano /etc/motion/motion.conf
change the local streaming to off
change resolution
and the service motion restart
