Print starts with wrong temperatures (both extruder and bed)

Hi all,

I just set up my Astrobox yesterday night and, after having set everything to the point where I can start a print, I am experiencing some problems.

Via the advanced slicer options I have set my temperature for the filament I am using to 190ºC, and 50ºC for the bed. The moment the print begins and the time counter starts counting down, the printer starts heating, but to the wrong temperatures (this is, 140ºC for hotend and 0ºC for the bed). Once it settles to those incorrect temperatures, the nozzle goes home as it should before it starts printing, but suddenly the Z axis starts increasing slowly and endlessly (I have to stop it before it hits the limiter on top).

Anyone has any idea of what could be going on? Any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks so much in advance.

I forgot to mention, that even if I manually change the temperature with the sliders, they go back to 140ºC and 0ºC after 1 second or so…

What printer do you have? it looks like your printer is overriding the temp commands.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for taking the time. My printer is a Lulzbot AO-101.
I have never printed before at 140º thought.
If I am manually controlling the printer through the CONTROL icon, I can set any temperature that I want and it will go there and settle correctly.

Thanks

Any idea on this? I am installing Octoprint today, just to see if the problem is consistent across the two platforms (I hope it is, since I like Astroprint much better over Octoprint).

Regards

This might be caused by wrong settings override. Are you able to paste here the first 50 lines or so from the GCODE that you’re trying to print?

I am having the same problems and it is a new phenomena. Only stl files I am slicing new are having this problem. The temperatures were working fine before yesterday and the update. Old files are also fine which were sliced before yesterday. Only new ones are showing the problem. Mine is a Geetech clone known as an Infitary running Marlin on a newer HY_Bae control board. I haven’t updated or altered the firmware at all. I haven’t switched back to Cura yet but will attempt that later today. I was using Slic3r as I was getting smoother prints. Cura’s were kind of rough. Looking at the Gcode overview it shows everything correctly so it is weird.

I switched back to Cura and it is fine so something to do with Slic3r.
