I am printing PET-G and using 85 degrees to prevent warping. I have also experienced some overheating issues with the 12V power cable (both hot and ground on separate occasions) desoldering from the heater bed. I replaced the cables with thick wire (creates another problem with the stiffer wire not able to bend as easily but solved by running it out behind the printer). These boards are definitely not easy to solder onto!!
I noticed yesterday after the original cable melted (replaced today) which was after the first layer or so and the printer kept going but the bed was at room temp. It worked fine on a large print so I am wondering if it is possible to lower the bed temp to maybe 40 degrees after the first layer maybe in the slicer settings although I can’t find anything there I can edit? I am still a newbie and working my way through these problems on my machine. It is a vanilla PRUSA I3 knockoff and so far seems pretty good with a few minor problems.
