Raspberry Pi Astroprint Install Via Ethernet

Hi,

As the title says just wondering if its possible to install Astroprint on a Raspberry Pi via ethernet? I have no wireless dongle and to be honest don’t need one for anything else so don’t want to buy one just for astro. My current Octopi setup is ethernet wired as is pretty much everything else in my place.

I suspect this is possible saw a post not on this forum from someone saying they had done it but unfortunately no details on how.

This is possible, it should work out of the box, simply plug your cable. If you network has a DHCP server, there should be no issues.

Thanks for responding i ended up plugging the Pi into HDMI and doing the setup. All working great now, would like to make the move permanently from Octoprint but the lack of Live Video feed is a show stopper for me :frowning:

Yes. We know this limitation can be big for some people. It’s in our roadmap.
