Im getting more familiar with my astrobox and its working well so far. I haven’t done prints longer that 3 hours. Since there is no way to remotely shutting down the pi, I wonder if you recommend heatsink and active cooling or if you find that unnecessary.

I’ve done prints that were 60+ HOURS with no issues…
Some people have done prints that were even longer…
In general, it is unnecessary.
You should try doing a benchmark and see if it’s relevant to your printing conditions and personal preferences though 
Also, I rarely shutdown my Pi. These things are VERY robust and mine has been on for 6 months+ or even longer…
