Hello all, been away for a bit. I was wondering if the video stream could be shared with friends?
I do not think so…I can’t say for sure but I seem to recall reading that…unless of course you want to give out your astroprint account info then I expect anyone could log in as you and watch…
For myself the video streaming is not really working well anyway…so I use an external wifi webcam which does allow guest account access.
Thanks, I hope to see the feature someday.
This is not possible. Seems like a bunch of people are interested in this feature…
It could be a potential feature in the future, but no plans right now.
how about the ability to record a rime laps video… then the ability to share that video to social media
The record and down load of time lapse video already exists. Uploading to you favorite social media is then just like any other video clip. No built in process to send the video but that isn’t really a big trick to do yourself. I’d like Dropbox upload then you can have a nice vid library with links you can send to those who actually care about what you are printing. But again one I have downloaded the video putting up to Dropbox is a no brained.
I agree… but I think social media is great too… the fastest way to grow the additive community is by sharing how awesome 3D printing is. Also I am putting together a review channel on YouTube and the publishing tools would be extreamly useful. Aslso google drive wouldn’t be a bad option.
From the timelapse page you can share to YouTube and Facebook
