[SOLVED] Support for Playstation PS3 Eye webcam? (Raspberry Pi)

First off, kudos for the great OS!

As I’m just starting out, I suspected that my webcam (PS3 Eye) would not directly out of the box. The camera is supported looking at the http://elinux.org/RPi_USB_Webcams list.

Are there any howto’s in getting the webcam to work? I simply do not know right now if the webcam is recognized by the OS.

Did you try to start a print? The camera functionality is now currently only available while printing. You should see a camera icon in the print screen. Let me know if that works.

I am also using a PS3 Eye on an AstroBox + RPi 2. It worked out of the box with zero configuration needed.

I have exact same problem since update to 0.10 with logitech c270.
Basically i’m not able to take more than 10 pictures (at best - sometimes error apears on first frame) before problem.
What version of Pi are you using? with or without usb hub?
