Any idea if there will ever be support for Safari? I rarely use a computer at home and am almost always on either my iPhone or an iPad. I’ve tried downloading chrome and opera. Neither of them work either. So I thought it might be my camera so I purchased one on the recommended list. Astroprint detects it and it works fine viewing from my PC at work. It was nice being away somewhere and have the ability to whip out your phone and be able to monitor the print job.

Sure. It will just take time 
For live video etc., WebRTC is still in its infancy but we expect the compatibility to improve drastically overtime.
Meanwhile, keep an eye on the WebRTC Compatibility Matrix 
What browser are you using on your PC by the way?
I use chrome on the PC.

It’s frustrating to loose functionality you had in a previous version.

What functionality did you loose? The photo option is still there
The ability to use my Ipad\Iphone to monitor prints. Photo and video do not work on these platforms no matter what browser I use.
