Time lapse images

The time lapse feature works nicely with USB camera’s like the Logitech C920.

I’m just wondering where are the images being saved to? Specifically which directory on the raspberry pi and the pcduino. I captured two sets and searched around in /sdcard/Astrobox/timelapse and /AstroboxFiles/timelapse but couldn’t find any images.

I’m able to see the two sets inside the print capture page in the Astroprint Dashboard. I can see and delete them which is nice. It’s cool to see meta data for each capture, this is really helpful. I was surprised to see the playback like a slideshow photo gallery. I’d like to take pull these images down and process them into a seamless time lapse video.

@Noe_Ruiz the images are not saved on the AstroBox. As you found they’re on the server.

We’re still getting that area finished but features to come are:

  • zip download of your images.
  • automatic creation of ti elapse video.
  • options to post video on social networks.

Sounds great, thanks for the insights!

Keeping the images saved on the astroprint server makes sense. That prevents the SD card on the board from getting filled up, so it’s very resourceful. I am wondering what quality settings might be adjustable for making a time lapse video. It would be helpful set a specific dimension for the output - just a suggestion.

Keep of the great work Daniel, astroprint is working really nicely for us - we have three setup managing our printrbot simple metal, orion delta and lulzbot taz4.
