Tips and tricks for using imported Gcode

Hi there folks,

Does anyone have tips on exporting getting uploaded Gcode, from Cura, to print well through AstroPrint? I’ve tried this twice and both times, I’ve ended up with big rat’s nests of melted plastic. I have not dug into the issue much at all yet, but before I go down that rabbit hole, I would love any pointers that the community may have already uncovered.

First photo shows the quality issue well. Second photo is after adjusting z-axis endstop. So that makes sense. What I don’t understand is why Stl I printed directly from Thingiverse/AstroPrint Dashboard were not having the same issue. It seems like there is a Z-offset coming from one program or the other. Ideas?
