I’m currently unable to connect my Wiiboox One Mini printer to my RPI3 Astrobox. Everything else has worked fine, but when I reach the “Connect Your Printer” page during the first time setup wizard, I’m having issues connecting. When my printer is disconnected or I have the X3G driver selected, it says “No printer detected” (nothing surprising here). When my printer is connected with the GCode driver, it recognizes the PL2303 Serial Port. But when I hit Connect, it just remains on “Connecting.” Is this an issue on the Wiiboox side? I’ve tried all of the different Baud Rates, but still no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Most likely.
What firmware is it running? Keep in mind that Astroprint is compatible with standard (unmodified) Marlin / Sailfish firmware.
You might need to re-flash the firmware…
Re-flash the firmware for the Wiiboox?
Depends. What is it running right now? Has it been modified in any manner by the manufacturer?
I believe it’s running ReplicatorG. It’s a small company so unfortunately it’s not the easiest to find info on the firmware. This is the support page for Wiiboox’s US site: http://www.wiiboox.com/support.php
This is the support page for the Korean site with the Firmware update: http://www.wiiboox.co.kr/mall/customer/bbs_view.asp?bbs_idx=49&bbs_code=10&bbs_class=&bbs_search_type=1&bbs_search_word=&page=1
When I run ReplicatorG, it does say ReplicatorG - Wiiboox Version 42 at the top of the window.
Sounds like it’s got some restrictions…
My next idea would be to re-flash it with Sailfish firmware…and re-attempt…
Not 100% sure though
seems like i’m having the same issue when attempting to connect with Octoprint…Probably safe to conclude that it is in fact the Wiiboox’s firmware causing this issue?
