Hi,
I saw that 9.0 has been released. Live streaming - great.
But the update option doesn’t offer the update from 8.8(8) to 0.9. I ran apt-get which updated a lot of components. But not Astroprint.
Do I need to intall the new image?

There were some reports of problems updating to 0.9(0) so we pulled it. You can still create an SD Card with 0.9(0) by downloading the image but until we can find out what happened (during next week), we won’t have an option to update your box via the settings.
OK. Thanks for the information. I’ll just wait then.
but then we must setup entire box again… right? My WiFi adapter wont work out of box maybe some kind of manual upgrade form web interface by file would be nice
Ah shit. I forgot you were using Linux geekery on your Astrobox!
Patience my friend. You could surely wait another week
OK. Update 0.9 was online now.
Installed it … but no camera at all anymore. I use a raspberry pi 2 with the pi camera.
Astroprint states that no cam has been detected. I tried enabled it via raspi-config. Didn’t help.
Any idea on what to do?
The raspicam is not supported by this release initially. We need to check a few things to see if we can restore support for the raspicam
Hmm, didn’t expect a functionality to fall away. A note in the release notes would have been great.
I think there a lot of pi cam users out there.I hope you get it fixed soon.
Thanks in advance.
Yes, we completely missed this one. Sorry about that
I have 0.9 running at the moment and for some reason it won’t allow me to access my image/video settings in the settings tab. Any reason or fix on how to change the video output from v8 to H264 through terminal?
any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Jason
send us log via the astrobox advanced settings screen so we can see what’s going on with your settings tab.
i sent them…is there anyway to post them here?
by the way i did the function
sudo modprobe bcm2835-v4l2
sudo /etc/init.d/astrobox restart
then once the camera started to work, i went into settings and it wouldn’t allow me to connect to the camera but it would work in monitor mode…
Help!?!??!!
It’s a bit lengthy, so probably not the best idea. @Daniel will be able to see any abnormalities pretty quickly as he has seen plenty of log files.
I can’t find the logs, how did you send them? The don’t show up in the log queue.
I clicked “Send Logs”
Got them. We’re not ready for the raspicam until the next release 0.9(2) which is coming out next week.
That’s cool, I can wait.
So I updated to 0.9(2) today with hope of Raspicam working…
Why no work still?
